yesterday was midautumn festival, aka mooncake day! i went to the tuen mun village to meet little kids and ate mooncake with them. the school took us to a monestary that no one goes to on a mountain where we got soaked from rain that only started once we reached the monestary. haha. i met some exchange students and we went to kowloon park to see the displays of random maidens who flew to the moon, etc. then we went to victoria park on the actual hk island to light lanterns and watch random asian performances. it was so cute at victoria park! there were families that purposely went there to sit on a grassy area to light candles from empty mooncake tins, hold lanterns and eat mooncake. the togetherness of it all makes me so happy. it reminds me of home and my family. why can't we do that in america? lets start the trend! jk.
