after being in hong kong for almost 4 months, i realized [or realised] that i spell things like the asians now. example:
fav
ourite generali
sations.
another thing. im so used to the hong kong phone numbers being 8 digits long that when i look at a 7 digit number from the states, it makes me wonder where the 8th one went. or be jealous about how many "8's" someone's number has.
hot damn, their number is so lucky. i wonder if they paid for that extra 8.and how am i going to adjust to america when all the signs tell u its 10% off at stores but you really just want to go up to the cashier and bargain it down to at least 25% of the asking price.
and then when i get back home, now i have to multiply everything by 7.73 to figure out if its a good deal, comparative to hong kong. which in america, it never is. but whatever.
and what about the college students? "ngo hey U LIE!" [im at the UNIVERSITY LIBRARY].
when i come back to america, i will no longer line up patiently to ride the on the mtr train only to stand 90% of the time.
i will miss maxim's bakery and my octopus card.
basically, i will miss hong kong.
